Best Drop In Bed Liner for Protection (2026): 6 Picks

Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. This comes at no extra cost to you.

How we researched this guide

We compared six bed-protection products and ranked them on protection only: published material thickness, coverage (floor, walls, bulkhead, tailgate), impact behaviour by design, and skid resistance. Every figure traces to a maker document — Penda’s sell sheet, Rugged Liner’s product and warranty pages, BedRug’s Impact and install documents, Husky Liners’ and Dee Zee’s mat specifications, DualLiner’s fitment pages, and the Equipment World bed liner buyer’s guide. Where a maker publishes no thickness, our tables print “Not published” instead of an estimate.

For ownership we reviewed truck-forum reports — Ram Forum, BobIsTheOilGuy, TractorByNet, Tundras.com and WanderTheWest — paraphrased and linked in each review. We do not test bed liners and we print no prices. This is the protection-first companion to our general best drop in bed liner guide: same verified pool, judged on thickness, coverage and grip. Every button names the exact truck and bed length its listing was verified for.

The 30-second answer

For maximum protection buy coverage plus thickness: the DualLiner pairs rigid wall panels with a 3/8 in rubber floor and is our top pick. For pure impact work the Penda Pendaliner SR has the thickest published rigid sheet, up to 1/4 in. The Rugged Liner Under-Rail is full coverage for less. The BedRug Impact protects finished cargo best with its 3/4 in padded floor. The Husky and Dee Zee mats are floor-only — strong on the floor, nothing on the walls. See our drop-in bed liner archive for the full category.

Best Overall Protection

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner

Best if protection means every surface: rigid panels armour bulkhead, walls and tailgate while a 3/8 in rubber floor absorbs point loads and stops cargo sliding into them. Sold direct, not on Amazon — see its review.

DualLiner is sold direct, not on Amazon. The closest rigid liner on Amazon is the Rugged Liner below; the maker link is in its review.

Best Impact Protection

Penda Pendaliner SR

Best if dropped tools, block and gravel are the threat: HDPE sheets up to 1/4 in thick — the thickest published rigid sheet here — with skid resistance blended through the material.

Best Full-Coverage Value Protection

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner

Best if you want full coverage on a tighter budget: HDPE tub, wraparound headboard, tailgate cover in the box, limited lifetime warranty. No numeric thickness is published — we say so rather than guess.

Best Cargo-Safe Protection

BedRug Impact Bed Liner

Best if the cargo needs protecting as much as the bed: a 3/4 in padded floor — the thickest floor build here — cushions finished loads. Padding absorbs; a rigid tub takes a sharper hit. Not a rigid tub.

Best Floor-Only Protection

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat

Best if only the floor is at risk: rubberized DuraGrip HD, air-dry nibs underneath, lifetime guarantee. It ranks below every full liner here because walls and tailgate stay bare. A mat, not a liner.

Best Budget Floor Protection

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat

Best if the floor needs real armour for the least spend: a full 3/8 in of cord-reinforced Nyracord rubber with drainage cleats. Floor-only, with the shortest warranty here: 1 year on most listings.

Fitment per listing: Pendaliner = Ram 1500 2009–2018, 5’7″. Rugged and Husky = F-150 5’7″ (2015–2025 / 2015–2026). BedRug = F-150 2015–2023, 67.1 in. Dee Zee = F-150 2004–2014, 6.5 ft. Protection finder: match the liner to your bed and your loads

Enter your bed length in inches, then tell us what you haul and how much wall coverage you need. Every result points at one of the six picks in this guide, ranked for protection. Buttons show the listing we verified; select your exact truck and bed length on it before ordering.

How to choose a drop in bed liner for protection

Coverage first: a surface with no liner has no protection

Protection starts with what is covered. A full liner armour-plates floor, walls, bulkhead and tailgate. A bed mat armour-plates only the floor, however thick it is. Rank coverage first: loads slide sideways, pallets swing, fork tips miss. If hauling can touch a wall, floor-only cannot protect it.

Thickness: compare only numbers a maker actually publishes

Thickness is the honest impact number, so we print only published ones. Penda: HDPE sheets up to 1/4 in. DualLiner and Dee Zee floors: 3/8 in of rubber. BedRug Impact: 3/4 in padded. Rugged Liner and Husky publish no numeric thickness; our tables say “Not published”.

Material decides how a hit is taken

Rigid HDPE spreads a point impact across a shell and shrugs off shovels and gravel — the dent champion. Rubber absorbs: it cushions the floor and grips, but offers nothing on a wall it does not cover. Padded TPO over foam protects cargo as much as bed, trading dent resistance for cushion.

Skid resistance is cargo protection, not just convenience

A load that slides arrives damaged and dents the wall it hits. Penda blends skid resistance through its HDPE, rated up to twice rival drop-ins; Rugged Liner textures its floor. Rubber beats both for raw grip — why the DualLiner pairs a rubber floor with hard walls. Grip never replaces straps.

Fit decides whether protection stays in place

A liner protects only where it sits flush. Every pick is moulded per truck and bed length; a 5’7″ liner in a 6’5″ bed rattles, rubs paint and can lift at speed. Measure, match the table below, and check tie-down style and onboard power, which change part numbers. See also our Pendaliner vs Husky comparison.

Drainage and warranty: protection that lasts

Trapped water undoes protection from underneath. Pendaliner ribs channel water away; the DualLiner mat sits on cleats over the factory drains; both mats use nibs or cleats for airflow. Read the warranty like a spec: lifetime (DualLiner, Husky), limited lifetime (full liners), 1 year (Dee Zee). Lift and wash twice a year.

Bed lengths: protection starts with the right size

Liner part numbers follow bed length exactly. Lengths below are the manufacturers’ published bed-floor figures, compiled in the sources under Sources & changelog.

Detailed reviews: the six picks for protection

Each review follows the same order — protection ranking, verified specs, fits, pros and watch-outs, owner reports, who should skip it, and pairings. The two mats are labelled as mats every time: floor only.

Best Overall Protection: DualLiner Truck Bed Liner

Best Overall Protection

Why the DualLiner Truck Bed Liner is our pick

Protection fails in two places: walls dented by swinging loads, floors dented by point loads as cargo slides. The DualLiner is the only design built against both — rigid panels on bulkhead, sides and tailgate, plus a 3/8 in ZeroSkid rubber floor mat.

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner key specs

  • Type: modular drop-in — rigid wall panels plus rubber floor mat (5 pieces)
  • Panels: custom-fit polyethylene, UV-treated
  • Floor: ZeroSkid rubber mat, 3/8 in thick; cleated underside drains to factory holes
  • Coverage: floor, walls, bulkhead, tailgate — full
  • Install: one person, no drilling; pieces remove separately; tie-downs stay usable
  • Fitment example: F-150 SuperCrew, 5.5 ft bed, 2015–2020; kits per truck and bed length
  • Warranty: lifetime (maker: unlimited and transferable)
  • Made in: USA (Kewaskum, Wisconsin)
  • Part number: kit-based by fitment — confirm on the maker fitment page

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner: fits and best for

Best for mixed hauling — rough loads on workdays, finished cargo at weekends. The pieces separate, so the mat lifts out for washing, hitch access or resale.

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Rigid walls take impacts a mat cannot answer
  • Pro: Rubber floor absorbs point loads, stops cargo sliding into walls
  • Pro: Cleated underside drains instead of sealing in water
  • Pro: Pieces remove individually for cleaning and hitch work
  • Pro: Lifetime warranty — strongest cover here on paper
  • Watch out: Sold direct/dealer; no Amazon listing we can verify
  • Watch out: Premium tier: five pieces cost more than a tub
  • Watch out: Fitment is exact — wrong bed-length kit does not fit

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner: what owners report

F-150 owners single out the split design: hard plastic where wall impacts land, a rubber mat locked under the side pieces so loads stay put. (BobIsTheOilGuy F-150 thread)

Ram Forum shoppers liked full-bed coverage that still removes cleanly at lease end. (Ram Forum bedliner thread)

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner: who should not buy

Skip it if only the floor is ever at risk — the Husky mat below does that for far less. Skip it if you must check out inside Amazon today; it is maker-direct.

DualLiner Truck Bed Liner: pair it with

Pair it with rated ratchet straps from our accessories archive — grip slows cargo, straps stop it.

DualLiner is not sold on Amazon. Buy it from the maker’s DualLiner F-150 fitment page or a dealer. The closest rigid alternative on Amazon is the Rugged Liner in this guide:

Best Impact Protection: Penda Pendaliner SR

Best Impact Protection

Why the Penda Pendaliner SR is our pick

If the threat is impact — dropped tools, block, gravel — thickness is the spec that matters, and Penda publishes the most: HDPE from sheets up to 1/4 in thick, with skid resistance blended through the material.

Penda Pendaliner SR key specs

  • Type: rigid one-piece drop-in tub, under-rail (over-rail versions exist)
  • Material and thickness: HDPE, sheets up to 1/4 in thick
  • Skid resistance: maker-rated up to 2x rivals, blended through the material
  • Coverage: floor, walls, bulkhead, tailgate — full; ribs channel water away
  • Resistance: UV-protected finish; gasoline, oil, most chemicals (maker spec)
  • Extras: molded-in board holders; tailgate cup holders
  • Install: no drilling; tie-down hole caps on most models
  • Part number: 62017SRX (verified listing below)
  • Warranty: limited lifetime
  • Made in: USA

Penda Pendaliner SR: fits and best for

Verified listing: Ram 1500 2009–2018, 5’7″ bed; Penda moulds for most trucks. Best for work use and two-tier loading via the board holders.

Penda Pendaliner SR pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Thickest published rigid sheet in this guide
  • Pro: Skid resistance blended through the material, not coated on
  • Pro: Ribbed floor drains instead of pooling
  • Pro: Board holders make a second, steadier deck
  • Pro: Limited lifetime warranty, US-made
  • Watch out: Plastic floor — grip is better, not rubber good
  • Watch out: One-piece tubs are bulky to store removed
  • Watch out: RamBox and step-gate beds need different parts

Penda Pendaliner SR: what owners report

Equipment World’s guide notes Penda’s thick-sheet construction and that snug drop-ins abrade paint less. (Equipment World buyer’s guide)

Owner threads credit correct fit for beds staying rust-free for decades; poor-fitting tubs earn the rust stories. (TractorByNet experience thread)

Penda Pendaliner SR: who should not buy

Skip it if your cargo is mostly furniture that plastic ribs can scuff — the BedRug Impact below is kinder. Skip any one-piece tub if a hitch lives in the bed.

Penda Pendaliner SR: pair it with

Pair it with the DuraLiner bed divider (part 13020BD), made for board-holder systems, so two-tier loads stay put.

Best Full-Coverage Value Protection: Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner

Best Full-Coverage Value Protection

Why the Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner is our pick

Rugged Liner is full rigid coverage without the premium tier: an HDPE tub with wraparound headboard, patented front corners, non-pooling floor, and tailgate cover in the box. The maker claims top-tier thickness but publishes no number, so we rank it on coverage.

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner key specs

  • Type: rigid one-piece drop-in tub, under-rail
  • Material: HDPE; uniform wall thickness
  • Thickness: not published by the maker
  • Coverage: floor, walls, bulkhead, tailgate — full; tailgate cover included
  • Floor: skid-resistant, non-pooling texture
  • Extras: 2×4 inserts for two-tier stacking
  • Install: no drilling; hardware included
  • Part number: F55U15 (verified listing below); splits by tie-down shape and onboard power
  • Warranty: limited lifetime — rust from liner movement excluded
  • Made in: USA

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner: fits and best for

Verified listing: F-150 5’7″; Rugged Liner moulds for the major full-size trucks. Best for owners and fleets wanting full coverage at the lowest tier.

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Full rigid coverage at the lowest full-liner tier
  • Pro: Tailgate cover and hardware included
  • Pro: Non-pooling floor texture addresses standing water
  • Pro: Limited lifetime warranty, US-made
  • Watch out: No published thickness vs Penda’s sheet spec
  • Watch out: Warranty excludes rust from liner movement
  • Watch out: Part splits by tie-down shape and power option

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner: what owners report

The maker’s warranty document is the instructive read: cover lasts while the original owner keeps the truck, and a wet liner can be slippery. (Rugged Liner warranty (PDF))

Dealer listings repeat the coverage no-name tub buyers most often report missing: front-rail and tailgate protection included. (Truck Outfitters Rugged Liner listing)

Rugged Liner Under-Rail Bedliner: who should not buy

Skip it if sliding is your top damage risk and budget allows the DualLiner — textured plastic does not equal rubber. Skip it if the rust exclusion worries you on an older bed.

Best Cargo-Safe Protection: BedRug Impact Bed Liner

Best Cargo-Safe Protection

Why the BedRug Impact Bed Liner is our pick

Some loads need protecting from the bed, not just the other way round. The BedRug Impact floor is anti-skid TPO over a 3/4 in foam pad — the thickest floor build here — with fiber sides and a gap-guard hinge. It cushions finished cargo superbly.

BedRug Impact Bed Liner key specs

  • Type: padded full liner (spray-look alternative) — not a rigid tub
  • Floor: anti-skid TPO over 3/4 in closed-cell foam pad
  • Sides: 100% polypropylene fiber (bulkhead and walls)
  • Coverage: floor, walls, bulkhead, tailgate — full; gap-guard hinge
  • Resistance: waterproof; UV, chemical, stain, mold resistant (maker spec)
  • Install: zip-together, hook-and-loop, under an hour; BRZSPRAYON kit over a spray-in
  • Part number: ILQ15SCK (verified listing below)
  • Warranty: limited lifetime
  • Made in: USA

BedRug Impact Bed Liner: fits and best for

Verified listing: F-150 2015–2023, 67.1 in bed including Lightning. Best for daily drivers carrying a changing mix — gravel one day, furniture the next.

BedRug Impact Bed Liner pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Thickest floor build here cushions cargo and knees
  • Pro: Spray-in look, flat surface, fully removable
  • Pro: Gap-guard hinge keeps debris out of the tailgate seam
  • Pro: Does not seal water against the bed like a tub
  • Watch out: Less point-impact armour than a rigid tub
  • Watch out: Fiber sides can hold straw and hay
  • Watch out: Premium spend for a non-rigid design

BedRug Impact Bed Liner: what owners report

Coverage of the Impact line centres on the padded floor cushioning knees and cargo, and a TPO surface that hoses clean. (RealTruck BedRug Impact page)

Ram Forum owners running the sibling BedRug Classic haul firewood, sand and gravel on it, cleaning by hosing — hay clings. (Ram Forum bedliner thread)

BedRug Impact Bed Liner: who should not buy

Skip it if the bed takes demolition debris or sharp scrap — that is rigid-tub work and the Pendaliner above is the right tool. Skip it for the cheapest protected floor; both mats cost less.

BedRug Impact Bed Liner: pair it with

Pair it with a cargo bar from our accessories archive — the flat floor makes bars work predictably.

Fit it on a warm day and press every hook-and-loop strip firmly; the maker stresses surface temperature for adhesion. The same patience pays off in our Tacoma winch guide.

Best Floor-Only Protection: Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat

Best Floor-Only Protection

Why the Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat is our pick

Call it what it is: a mat, not a liner — and the best floor-only protection here. DuraGrip HD with a textured anti-skid face stops cargo gliding, Air Dry Nibs let moisture dry underneath, and Husky guarantees it for life. Walls and tailgate get nothing.

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat key specs

  • Type: bed mat — FLOOR ONLY (no wall or tailgate coverage)
  • Material: rubberized DuraGrip HD
  • Surface: textured anti-skid face; Air Dry Nibs underneath for airflow and drying
  • Resistance: most chemicals (maker spec)
  • Install: drop-in, no tools; hose clean
  • Weight: 15.83 lb (listing data)
  • Part number: 16008 (verified listing below)
  • Fitment note: bare or spray-in beds only; will NOT fit with a drop-in liner
  • Warranty: lifetime guarantee
  • Made in: USA

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat: fits and best for

Verified listing: late-model F-150 5’7″; Husky cuts per truck and bed length. Best for floor loads — appliances, toolboxes, furniture — and leased trucks.

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Best pure cargo grip per dollar here
  • Pro: Air-dry nibs answer the under-mat moisture trap
  • Pro: Lifetime guarantee, US-made, tool-free
  • Pro: Cushions cargo as rigid tubs never will
  • Watch out: Floor only — walls and tailgate stay bare
  • Watch out: Will not fit over a drop-in tub
  • Watch out: Grip is not restraint; heavy loads need straps

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat: what owners report

Retailer data repeats what buyers report: cargo stops shifting, and the mat lifts out for a hose-down. (AmericanTrucks Husky mat page)

Forum mat owners make the trade knowingly — floor grip for bare walls — several running a mat over a spray-in for grip. (Tundras.com bed mat thread)

Husky Liners Heavy Duty Bed Mat: who should not buy

Skip it if loads swing into the walls or you load with forks — buy full coverage first time: Rugged Liner or Pendaliner above. Skip it if you already own a drop-in tub.

Best Budget Floor Protection: Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat

Best Budget Floor Protection

Why the Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat is our pick

The budget floor answer with a proper spec: 3/8 in of Nyracord cord-enhanced rubber, highly compressed against abrasion and tearing, with drainage cleats underneath. Per the maker it will not crack in temperature extremes — real armour, floor only, least spend here.

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat key specs

  • Type: bed mat — FLOOR ONLY (tailgate mat sold separately)
  • Material and thickness: Nyracord cord-enhanced rubber, 3/8 in (9.52 mm)
  • Underside: rubber cleats hold position and drain water
  • Resistance: abrasion, tears, most fuel/oil spills; UV-deflecting rubber (maker spec)
  • Dimensions: 78.25 x 64 in; contours around the wheel wells
  • Part number: DZ86929 (verified listing below)
  • Fitment: F-150 2004–2014, 6.5 ft bed; trimming on some short beds
  • Warranty: 1-year limited on most listings (conflict flagged in our research notes)
  • Made in: USA

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat: fits and best for

Verified listing: F-150 2004–2014, 6.5 ft bed; Dee Zee cuts for most pickups. Best for older work trucks needing floor armour today.

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat pros and watch-outs

  • Pro: Full 3/8 in cord-reinforced rubber, lowest spend here
  • Pro: Cleats drain water instead of trapping it
  • Pro: Custom-cut around wheel wells, not a universal mat
  • Pro: US-made, long work-truck track record
  • Watch out: Floor only — no wall or tailgate protection
  • Watch out: Shortest warranty here: 1 year on most listings
  • Watch out: Verified fitment is an older F-150 generation

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat: what owners report

Long-term owners report Dee Zee mats lasting the life of the truck, one on a second mat after years of camper duty. (WanderTheWest Dee Zee thread)

Tundra owners pairing it with a spray-in give the same reason: it fixes sliding and adds cushion for the least money. (Tundras.com bed mat thread)

Dee Zee Heavyweight Bed Mat: who should not buy

No score row: protection splits by coverage first, thickness second; a single number would hide both. For the all-round ranking of this pool, see our pillar drop in bed liner guide.

Fitment & installation

Start with the bed, not the box. Measure the floor bulkhead-to-tailgate, gate closed, and match the lengths above — a crew-cab short bed and a standard bed in the same year are different part numbers. Note tie-down style, bed lighting and power outlets, and declare any spray-in or extender already fitted. Wash and dry the bed first: grit under a rigid tub becomes sandpaper, and hook-and-loop systems like the BedRug need a clean surface at 68°F or warmer.

Rigid tubs drop in as one piece — easier with two people — seat under or over the rails, and fasten with the supplied retainers; re-check after the first loaded trip. The DualLiner fits piece by piece, solo. Mats unroll; an hour in the sun helps them relax flat. The discipline transfers from our how to mount a winch and winch mounting plate guides: measure twice, fasten once, re-check.

Safety essentials

Secure the liner before the first drive. An unseated drop-in can lift at highway speed — the maker’s safety notes say so. Re-check retainers after the first loaded trip.

Strap the cargo, always. Skid resistance slows sliding; it is not restraint. Use rated straps or a divider for anything heavy, high or wheeled.

Never fill fuel cans in the bed. Static builds on plastic liners. Container on the ground, nozzle in contact, before filling.

Treat a wet liner as slippery. Rain, ice and frost cut grip on plastic and rubber alike; never carry pets loose on a liner surface.

Lift the liner on a schedule. Twice a year, lift it, wash out grit and trapped water, and dry the bed fully before refitting — how drop-ins avoid their rust reputation.

Mind the tailgate gap. Small parts fall into the bed/tailgate gap and jam it; a gap guard (built into the BedRug Impact) keeps the seam clear.

Who should NOT buy these liners

Anyone set on a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch. Every pick covers the floor where the hitch mounts. Removable pieces come out for hitch work, but a permanent hitch wants wall-only protection.

Anyone who will not measure their bed. A guessed bed length buys a return shipment. Two minutes with a tape measure is the whole job.

Anyone expecting a mat to protect walls. The Husky and Dee Zee protect the floor, only the floor. If loads hit walls, buy wall coverage first time — see the upper-tier budget guide if spend is the blocker.

Anyone who will never lift the liner again. Drop-ins reward a twice-a-year lift-and-wash. If that will never happen, a spray-in is the lower-regret choice.

Anyone ordering for a RamBox or non-standard bed from a standard listing. Those beds carry their own part numbers.

FAQ

What makes one drop in bed liner more protective than another?

Three things, in order: coverage, thickness and grip. Coverage decides which surfaces can be damaged at all. Thickness decides impact absorbed — Penda publishes up to 1/4 in of HDPE, rubber floors here are 3/8 in, BedRug pads to 3/4 in. Grip decides whether cargo slides into the walls.

Is a thicker bed liner always better protection?

On the surface it covers, generally yes — a thicker shell spreads point impacts, thicker rubber absorbs more. But thickness cannot protect an uncovered surface, which is why the 3/8 in Dee Zee mat ranks below thinner full liners here. Only published numbers count.

Does a drop in bed liner protect against dents better than a spray-in?

Against dents, usually yes: a rigid HDPE shell takes the hit itself, while a spray-in is a thin coating that dents with the metal under a heavy point load. A spray-in wins on fit — no gaps, no rattle. The padded BedRug sits between the two.

Why does cargo protection need skid resistance?

Because most bed damage is self-inflicted: a toolbox sliding under braking dents the bulkhead and arrives damaged. Blended skid surfaces, textured floors and rubber all slow that slide. Grip is still not restraint — heavy loads need rated straps or a divider.

Do drop in bed liners cause the rust they are meant to prevent?

They can, when grit and water sit trapped under a poorly fitted tub and movement rubs paint away. Ribs, cleats and nibs in these designs channel water and air underneath. Decisive is habit: lift the liner twice a year, wash, dry, refit.

Will a protective liner fit under my tonneau cover?

Under-rail liners — the Pendaliner and Rugged Liner here — keep rails free for clamp-on covers and caps. Over-rail versions protect rail tops but can fight cover clamps. Check the cover maker’s notes and our truck bed cover guide first.

Can a bed mat ever be the most protective choice?

For the floor alone, yes: a 3/8 in rubber mat absorbs point loads and grips better than any plastic tub floor, and the Husky adds a lifetime guarantee. Once loads can touch walls or tailgate, a mat stops being the protective choice.

How long does bed protection last?

The warranties are the makers’ signed answer: lifetime (DualLiner, Husky mat), limited lifetime (Pendaliner, Rugged Liner, BedRug Impact), 1 year (Dee Zee, most listings). Fitted tubs and mats routinely outlast a truck’s first ownership when lifted and washed on schedule.

Will a full liner work with a fifth-wheel hitch?

Not while it is in the bed — the hitch needs the floor. Removable designs are the workaround: the DualLiner mat lifts out, the BedRug unzips. If the hitch is permanent, protect walls and rails only.
