Never machine dry a cover unless the maker says so, and never refit a damp cover.
Will a console cover block my latch or storage?
It should not, if the fit is right. After fitting, open and close the lid several times, test the latch click, and check any sliding section and storage access. If the cover bunches at the latch, blocks the hinge or stops the lid closing, reseat it or choose a different shape. Forcing a latch can damage the console mechanism over time.
What is the difference between a console cover and a boat console cover?
A vehicle console cover protects the armrest lid between the front seats. A boat centre-console cover is a much larger cover that goes over a boat helm, electronics and seating, often with a T-top shape. They are different products for different jobs, and this guide covers vehicle lids only. If you need a boat helm cover, measure the helm and T-top separately and buy a marine cover made for that shape.
Do console covers work for work trucks?
Yes, provided the seat layout is right. A jump-seat truck needs a jump-seat cover, such as the AZEAM pick, while a bucket-seat truck needs a bucket or universal pad. Work trucks benefit most from a wipe-clean or washable surface, light storage bags and a regular cleaning routine, because mud, tools and wet jackets meet the console daily.
How often should I clean a console cover?
Wipe leather pads after spills and at least weekly in dusty or sunny outdoor use, and wash neoprene covers when they are muddy, wet or start to smell. Lift the cover regularly, wipe the lid underneath and let both dry fully. A cover that is never lifted can trap dust and moisture against the original lid, which defeats its purpose.
