The 30-second answer
Seal Skin sells fitted motorcycle covers in three tiers, and the right tier depends on where the bike lives. For outdoor, all-weather storage the Supreme tier is the strongest choice, the Elite tier suits covered outdoor storage, and ProGuard suits indoor and light outdoor use. Seal Skin sells direct, so each tier below also names an Amazon alternative with a button. The picks in this guide are: Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover, Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover, Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover, Gutupet Motorcycle Cover, YOTOM Motorcycle Cover. Read the product blocks for the full reasoning, and use the finder below to match a pick to your job.
How we researched this guide
We compared 5 products for this guide, checked 8 maker pages, spec sheets and listing records, and reviewed owner points from maker guides and listing records. No product was tested by us in person, and no specification below is guessed: where a maker does not publish a figure, the text says so instead of filling the gap.
Owner points are paraphrased in our own words and linked to their sources. Manufacturer claims are written as rated or stated figures, not as results we measured. If a detail could not be verified from a maker document or a listing record, it was left out of the product block.

Cover finder
Enter your bike length in inches, including bags and screen if fitted. The finder matches length to a cover tier, and an out-of-range length routes to the strongest fitted pick.
How to choose a Seal Skin motorcycle cover
Fit by bike, not by size label
Seal Skin matches covers to year, make, model and configuration rather than a generic small, medium or large label. That matters because a touring bike with bags and a screen needs a different shape from a naked bike of similar length. Measure length, height and width, and include bags, screens and antennas before ordering.
Fabric and weather protection
Supreme uses Seal-Tec fabric described as waterproof and breathable, Elite steps down in durability, and ProGuard is the lightest tier. Waterproof, breathable and UV-resistant are different claims: a cover can shed rain yet trap moisture underneath, so breathability and venting matter for paint and metal over a season.
Wind security
A cover that lifts in wind flaps against paint and can blow off entirely. Look for belly straps, a hem cord, buckles and a way to lock the cover to the bike. Fit the cover snugly and use every strap the maker provides, especially on an exposed driveway.
Heat and exhaust
A cover must never go over a hot exhaust. Heat-resistant panels help where the cover touches the pipes after a short cool-down, but they do not make it safe to cover a hot bike. Let the exhaust cool fully, and check the maker guidance for your tier.
Soft lining and paint
A soft inner lining protects paint from the cover itself, which matters when the bike is covered and uncovered daily. Keep the bike clean before covering, because grit trapped under any cover will mark paint over time, however soft the lining is.
Warranty and returns
Seal Skin describes different warranty coverage by tier, with Supreme carrying the longest cover, and a 30-day money-back guarantee is stated on its site. Read the tier terms before buying, because warranty length is part of the value difference between tiers, not just fabric.
Seal Skin tiers at a glance
The three tiers differ in fabric, protection level and warranty, not just in name. Use the table to choose by storage place first, then by bike size.
| Item | Detail | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Supreme | Seal-Tec fabric, waterproof and breathable | Outdoor, all-weather storage |
| Elite | Enhanced durability over ProGuard | Covered outdoor and mixed storage |
| ProGuard | Lightest tier, basic protection | Indoor and light outdoor use |
| All tiers | Fitted by year, make and model | Measure bags, screens and antennas |
| All tiers | Soft inner lining stated | Clean the bike before covering |
Seal Skin motorcycle cover by budget
Budget here means the class of product, not a price: makers and retailers change prices, so this guide never prints one. Pick the tier that matches the job, then check the current listing through the button.
| Tier | What you get | Example pick |
|---|---|---|
| Indoor | Basic dust and scratch protection | Seal Skin ProGuard |
| Covered outdoor | Stronger weather resistance | Seal Skin Elite |
| Full outdoor | Waterproof, breathable, longest warranty | Seal Skin Supreme |
Types of motorcycle covers
| Type | Strengths | Watch-outs | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fitted cover | Snug shape, less flap in wind | Must match bike exactly | Daily outdoor storage |
| Universal cover | Fits many bikes, easy to buy | Loose fit flaps and traps grit | Occasional or indoor use |
| Waterproof cover | Sheds rain and snow | Can trap moisture if not breathable | Wet climates |
| Breathable cover | Lets moisture escape | May resist heavy rain less well | Humid storage |

Best Overall: Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover
Best Overall – Waterproof, breathable, longest warranty
Why the Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover is our pick
Seal Skin describes Supreme as its top tier, using Seal-Tec fabric that is waterproof and breathable, resistant to hail and UV damage, and made to prevent mould and mildew build-up. It is a fitted cover matched to the bike, not a universal sheet, which is why it suits a bike that lives outside through rain, sun and wind.

Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover: fits and best for
Touring, cruiser and commuter bikes stored outdoors. Best where rain, sun and wind all hit the bike through the year.
Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover pros and watch-outs
- Waterproof and breathable fabric
- Fitted shape reduces wind flap
- Soft lining protects paint
- Longest tier warranty cover
- Direct sale, no Amazon button for this tier
- Must order by full bike configuration
- Top tier cost is higher than universal covers
Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover: what owners report
Owners commonly report good rain protection and a snug fitted shape, with the recurring cautions being the need for exact configuration and for fastening every strap in wind. No review text or star figures are copied here.
Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover: who should not buy
Do not buy Supreme if the bike lives indoors and only needs dust cover. ProGuard is the sensible indoor tier, and Supreme is overkill there.
Seal Skin Supreme Motorcycle Cover: pair it with
Pair it with a bike lock that passes through the cover and a clean microfibre cloth for pre-cover wipe-downs.

Best Covered Outdoor: Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover
Best Covered Outdoor – Stronger than ProGuard for mixed storage
Why the Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover is our pick
Seal Skin places Elite between ProGuard and Supreme, with enhanced durability for riders whose bikes live under a carport, a porch roof or a mix of indoor and outdoor storage. It keeps the fitted shape and soft lining of the range, while stepping down from the full outdoor fabric of Supreme.
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover key specs
- Fabric: Enhanced durability tier
- Fit: Matched to year, make, model
- Lining: Soft inner lining stated
- Protection: Weather-resistant
- Wind: Straps and secure fit stated
- Warranty: Mid-tier cover; see tier terms

- Sale: Direct from maker
- Amazon ASIN: Not published
- Sizes: By bike configuration
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover: fits and best for
Bikes under a roof, in a carport or split between garage and driveway. Best where weather hits the bike sometimes, but not every day.
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover pros and watch-outs
- Fitted shape and soft lining
- Stronger than the lightest tier
- Good value for covered storage
- Direct fit by bike configuration
- Not the full outdoor tier
- Direct sale, no Amazon button for this tier
- Still needs straps fastened in wind
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover: what owners report
Owners commonly report a good balance of protection and value for covered storage, with the usual note that a fully exposed bike deserves the Supreme tier instead. No review text or star figures are copied here.
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover: who should not buy
Do not buy Elite for a bike that lives fully exposed through winter. Step up to Supreme for that storage, or accept shorter cover life.
Seal Skin Elite Motorcycle Cover: pair it with
Pair it with a cover lock and a breathable storage routine: dry the bike before covering, even under a roof.

Tip: use Elite where the roof keeps the worst rain off, and inspect seams after the first heavy storm. See also MOTORCYCLE & POWERSPORTS archive.
Best Indoor: Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover
Best Indoor – Basic protection for indoor storage
Why the Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover is our pick
Seal Skin describes ProGuard as its original, lightest collection, offering fitted protection at a lower tier than Elite and Supreme. It suits a garage bike that needs dust, scratch and light weather protection, and it is the right tier when the bike is not left out through storms.
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover key specs
- Fabric: Entry tier
- Fit: Matched to year, make, model
- Lining: Soft inner lining stated
- Protection: Basic weather protection
- Wind: Straps and secure fit stated
- Warranty: Entry tier cover; see tier terms
- Returns: 30-day money-back guarantee stated

- Sizes: By bike configuration
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover: fits and best for
Garage bikes, indoor storage and light outdoor use. Best where dust and scratches are the main risk, not storms.
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover pros and watch-outs
- Fitted shape even at entry tier
- Soft lining protects paint
- Good value for indoor storage
- Direct fit by bike configuration
- Not built for full outdoor winters
- Direct sale, no Amazon button for this tier
- Lightest fabric in the range
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover: what owners report
Owners commonly report good indoor dust and scratch protection and an easy fit, with the recurring caution that ProGuard should not be asked to do a Supreme job outdoors. No review text or star figures are copied here.
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover: who should not buy
Do not buy ProGuard for a bike that lives outside all year. The fabric and warranty tier are not built for that, and Supreme is the honest outdoor choice.
Seal Skin ProGuard Motorcycle Cover: pair it with
Pair it with a garage storage routine: clean, dry and cover, and keep the cover itself clean.

Tip: ProGuard works best as part of indoor storage, not as a substitute for a roof. See also best ATV winch guide.
Best Amazon Alternative: Gutupet Motorcycle Cover
Best Amazon Alternative – Universal Amazon alternative to Seal Skin
Why the Gutupet Motorcycle Cover is our pick
Gutupet lists this cover as a universal all-season cover with waterproof and sun protection, tear-resistant material, reflective details, lock holes and a storage bag. As a universal cover it will not fit as snugly as a Seal Skin fitted tier, but it is the checked Amazon alternative for readers who want to buy through Amazon.

- Material: Polyester
- Protection: Waterproof, windproof, sun and snow stated
- Details: Reflective, lock holes

Gutupet Motorcycle Cover pros and watch-outs
- Amazon buying with a button
- Large size range up to 105 inches
- Reflective and lock-hole details
- Storage bag included
- Universal fit flaps more than fitted
- Not matched to a specific bike

Owners commonly report easy covering and useful lock holes, with the usual universal-cover caution about wind flap on loose fits. No review text or star figures are copied here.
Gutupet Motorcycle Cover: who should not buy

Tip: measure your bike first, including bags and screen, and choose the size with room to spare rather than the tightest fit. See also snatch block guide.
Best Budget Alternative: YOTOM Motorcycle Cover
Best Budget Alternative – Budget universal cover with lock holes
Why the YOTOM Motorcycle Cover is our pick
YOTOM lists this cover as an outdoor waterproof motorbike cover with lock holes and a storage bag, fitting bikes up to 96.5 inches, with ultraviolet treatment to protect against sun damage. It is the budget Amazon alternative in this guide: simple, universal and easy to replace if it wears out.

YOTOM Motorcycle Cover: who should not buy

Installation and basics
Order by year, make, model and configuration, then check the fit on first use before relying on it outdoors. Put the cover over the bike from the front, settle it over the screen and mirrors, pull the hem down evenly, and fasten every belly strap and buckle. Check that the cover does not pull tight over antennas or levers, and that no strap presses on paint edges.
For storage, clean and dry the bike first, let the exhaust cool fully, and park where the cover will not sit in standing water. Inspect the cover each month for wear at strap points and seams, and wash it by maker guidance so dirt does not become grit against the paint. Useful background: best ATV winch guide, snatch block guide, and tree saver strap guide.
Safety essentials
- Let the exhaust cool fully before covering the bike, every time.
- Use every strap and buckle so wind cannot lift the cover onto paint or into the road.
- Keep the bike clean before covering, because trapped grit marks paint.
- Do not ride with a cover on, and do not store a cover over a running bike.
- Check straps and seams monthly for wear, especially after storms.
- Lock the cover to the bike where possible, and park in a visible, stable place.

Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Cover flaps in wind | Loose fit or unused straps | Refit snugly and fasten every strap |
| Dampness under cover | Trapped moisture, poor ventilation | Dry the bike first and choose a breathable tier |
| Paint marks | Grit trapped under cover | Clean bike and cover before use |
| Cover does not fit bags | Wrong configuration ordered | Reorder by full bike configuration |
| Seam wear | Repeated wind stress | Check warranty terms and replace worn covers |
Who should NOT buy these
Do not buy a fitted cover without your full bike configuration. Length alone does not decide fit when bags, screens, backrests and antennas change the shape. A universal cover bought on length alone will flap in wind and may mark paint, which defeats the purpose of covering the bike at all.
Do not buy the lightest tier for full outdoor storage. ProGuard suits indoor and light outdoor use, and a winter of rain, sun and wind will expose that limit quickly. For a bike that lives outside, the Supreme tier is the honest choice even though it costs more.
Do not buy a cover to fix a damp garage. A cover keeps dust and rain off, but it cannot dry a damp shed or stop condensation on its own. Fix ventilation and drainage first, then choose a breathable tier for the bike that lives there.

FAQ
Are Seal Skin motorcycle covers waterproof?
Seal Skin describes its Supreme tier with Seal-Tec fabric as waterproof and breathable, while Elite and ProGuard offer lower protection levels. Waterproof in this guide means the fabric is made to shed rain, not that a cover makes a bike immune to standing water or to moisture trapped underneath. Dry the bike before covering and check seams and straps regularly.
Which Seal Skin tier should I choose?
Choose by storage place: Supreme for outdoor all-weather storage, Elite for covered outdoor and mixed storage, and ProGuard for indoor and light outdoor use. The tiers differ in fabric, protection and warranty, so the cheapest tier is not good value for a bike that lives outside all year.
How do I get the right Seal Skin fit?
Order by year, make, model and configuration, including bags, screens, backrests and antennas, rather than by a generic size label. Measure length, height and width, compare them with the maker fit guide, and check the fit on first use before relying on the cover outdoors.
Can I cover a bike straight after a ride?
No. Let the exhaust cool fully before covering, every time, even if the cover has heat-resistant panels. Those panels help where fabric touches cooled pipes, but they do not make it safe to cover a hot exhaust, and heat can damage both cover and bike.
Do Seal Skin covers protect against hail?
Seal Skin describes Supreme fabric as resistant to hail and UV damage, which means it is made to withstand weather better than a thin cover. No soft cover can guarantee against large hail, and a bike stored under a hard shelter is safer in a severe hailstorm than any fabric cover.
What warranty do Seal Skin covers carry?
Seal Skin describes different warranty coverage by tier, with Supreme carrying the longest cover, and states a 30-day money-back guarantee on its site. Read the tier terms at purchase, because warranty length is part of the value difference between tiers.
Are Seal Skin covers sold on Amazon?
Seal Skin sells mainly direct through its own site, and this guide found no verified Amazon listing for the Seal Skin tiers themselves in the search index. That is why each tier below names an Amazon alternative with a button, so readers who prefer to buy through Amazon have a checked option.
Will a cover scratch my paint?
Any cover can mark paint if grit is trapped underneath or if a loose cover flaps in wind. Keep the bike clean, choose a fitted cover with a soft lining, fasten every strap, and wash the cover by maker guidance so dirt does not become an abrasive layer.
How do I stop a cover blowing off?
Use a fitted cover, pull the hem down evenly, and fasten every belly strap and buckle. Add a lock through the cover and bike where the design allows, and park out of the strongest wind where possible. A loose universal cover will always be harder to secure than a fitted one.
