Utility trailer winch FAQ
Tongue-mount or deck-mount?
Tongue-mount is the utility norm (clear of the load, wired to the tow vehicle or a trailer battery). Whatever the mount, it must be rated for the winch class and bolted to frame, not deck boards.
Trailer battery or tow-vehicle power?

Can the winch double as the tie-down?
